Minjie had graduation today - even though he was done in December - yay! Those older people are his aunt and uncle who flew from China to come see him!
reactivity progress
Today we went a little backwards, Lara isn’t feeling well because the canine adult teeth began to poke out yesterday, and today she barked at a large lawnmower, a kid pushing a toy that was making a scraping sound, and all the dogs we saw lol (the ones that were semi-close). She also was resource guarding the shit out of her ‘friend’s’ toys..we visited the other gsd she likes and she went into Annie’s house and hoarded all of Annie’s bones and bared her teeth when Annie came close. Sigh. Waited til they were distracted and sneakily took all the bones away so it wouldn’t happen again.However, with Minjie’s mom, her boyfriend,a nd 2 of his relatives staying in our apartment her routines have been turned upside down and its stressing her out, so I expected some decline in behavior.
I need to go back to a little bit farther distance and bring food for these walks since she’s going through what seems to be another fear period. I’m going to take her out tomorrow and work on her confidence, keeping dogs farther away since I let them get close yesterday and today due to the weekend progress, but she is not ready.
Lara likes attacking her mop (yeah, we bought one just for her) so much that she has turned down steak etc even when its right in front of her nose. I have no idea why she loves latching on and trying to kill it so much.,

i have made so many cookies in the past day.
Chocolate chip, lemon, and now jello cookies. I have an event to attend tomorrow and figured I”d make fun cookies.

Freaking lucky. I haven’t had many issues with Juno, she’s been pretty easy. Maybe is broken.
aww, I mean, I still may be screwed in the future, but for 3 months nonstop I could not take my eyes off of her..It was literally ilke, if she was awake, I could do NOTHING else, and every time she touched my stuff I pulled it away and was like ‘no’. No joke, months of nonstop staring. I hide all my good stuff too. Hopefully Maybe gets the hang of things soon!
I just realized Lara has never destroyed something she wasn’t allowed to. I must say, I did an awesome job so far supervising lol.

Thank you so much!!! I honestly think a lot of it has to do with what your suggestions were, I have really cut back on her freedom and she’s beginning to sort of understand that what she wants usually happens after I get what I want, and like your suggestion, i’m using LOOKING at dogs as a reward aka the environment, lol, who would have thought. I turn her away and make her do something and she’s figuring out that the dogs are rewards and she needs to play nice. THANK YOU for your suggestions, I cant believe I didn’t think of them.
